On offer is the chance to learn all about the workings of a Design Office and eventually progress into becoming a Mechanical Design Engineer.
This company specialise in the design and manufacture of special purpose process handling equipment that has a variety of applications, particularly in agriculture. They have undergone a period of growth and are looking to continue this by expanding into more overseas markets. At the moment the Middle East and Asia are particular boom markets for them.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the organisation of the Design Office. You will produce bills of materials, organise designs and produce work packages for the production teams.
This is an exceptional opportunity to develop your technical understanding and move into Design positions.
*Production of BoMs to accompany each design
*Organisation of designs and documents
*Assisting the Design Office Manager in the organisation of the drawing system
*Progression to Design Engineer
*Solid engineering background - potentially holding a relevant degree
*Any knowledge of BoMs or SQL database advantageous but not essential
*Excellent Excel skills
