Our Story So Far

With big risk, comes bigger success.

June 2005 - the co- founders Jeff Leng, Mia Silver, and Ben McCarthy each sold their cars and invested their life savings into Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd with the vision of creating something special that was fun and customer led.

Starting with a 3 man office, we quickly built some great relationships with some of the best manufacturing companies.

We very rapidly started to increase our headcount due to customer demand. We were conscious during this time that we didn't want to lose the level of service so we continue to ensure we are able to train and develop new consultants so that they are able to deliver the service we feel our clients deserve.

May 2006 - To cater for the lack of a specialist provider within the sector, we launched our education division.

August 2006 - Profiled in the Sunday Times.

October 2006 - We moved into a new office in Bristol that allows us to triple in size.

January 2007- Profiled in the Daily Telegraph.

January 2008 - Launched the contract division to supply the best contractors available within the engineering and vocational education industries.

June 2008 - Rise is accelerating its bid to add value to more businesses with the concept of “the best person for the job” by increasing its delivery team of highly trained consultants.

The Best Person for the job: The most motivated and productive engineer with suitable qualifications and skills who is retained by the progression and training available, whilst blending effortlessly into the ethos and culture of a business.

August 2008 – New website launched, so all those in search of excellence know why to love us!!

December 2008 – The credit crunch is upon us. Marketplace gets tougher but Rise’s no fluff approach stands in good stead as businesses need to recruit the best applicants available.  Rise is committed to looking after all staff, whilst other recruitment companies halve their headcount!

January 2009 – On target to double turnover over 2009 as more clients enjoy the refreshing approach of being delivered the “best person for the job”. We are working much harder, smarter and wiser to make sure we can help as many as possible.

February 2009 – Increases its advertising spend in the next logical step to attract the best applicants available.

March 2009 – Practising what we preach! Still recruiting the best applicants available to ensure that Rise can deliver its amazing service to even more great businesses.

June 2009 - Celebrated our 4th Birthday with a big barbecue round Jeff's. Lets face it everyone loves a good barby!

September 2009 - Due to our success at finding excellent applicants for Health and Social Care positions within colleges and training companies, Rise Care was set up to supply permanent and contract applicants into the Health and Social Care industry.

December 2009 - Been a tough year, although we have found some really  good people jobs, and we have worked with a range of great clients. We all can safely say we are looking forward to 2010, a year that by all intensive purposes looks to have better trading conditions.

Now a multi million pound turnover business placing hundreds of engineers and lecturers every year, the future is bright!
